Setting up a custom domain

By default, your tracking pixels and URLs will use the domain justopened.com. With our custom domains feature, you can replace our domain with a domain name that you own (white label). This gives you several key advantages:

  • Professionalism: Your recipients see your brand, not ours.
  • Reputation Control: You use your own domain's sender reputation for tracking links.
  • Trust: Reduces the likelihood of spam filters flagging third-party tracking links.

How to add your domain

Adding a custom domain takes just a few minutes and requires access to your domain's DNS settings.

  1. Create a CNAME record: Log in to your DNS provider (e.g., Cloudflare, GoDaddy) and add a new CNAME record.
    Type: CNAME
Name: tracking (or your preferred subdomain)
    Value: justopened.com
    TTL: 3600 (or lowest available)
  2. Add to JustOpened: Go to your Settings > Custom domains page.
  3. Verification: Enter the full domain name (e.g., tracking.mybrand.com) and click add. Our system will check the DNS records automatically.
  4. Set as Default: Once verified, you can toggle the "Default" switch. This will automatically update all generated Pixel URLs and Tracking Links across your account.
