Privacy and Data Control

JustOpened gives you full control over what data is collected. By default, our system tracks IP addresses, User-agents, and timestamps. However, you can choose to disable any of these to meet your specific privacy requirements.

Adjusting Privacy Settings

When you create a new mail tracking campaign, you can access the "Advanced settings" menu. Here you'll find the following toggles:

  • IP-address tracking: Disabling this prevents the collection of geographical location data.
  • User-agent tracking: Disabling this prevents the identification of devices, OS, and browser versions.
  • Date/time tracking: Disabling this hides opened times and activity heatmaps.
Important: Privacy settings are fixed once a campaign is created. Any disabled data is never stored on our servers, so it cannot be recovered later.

Impact on Analytics

Disabling a tracking property will directly affect which charts are visible on your analytics page:

  • No IP tracking: The "Location" map and grid will be hidden.
  • No User-agent tracking: The "Devices" and "OS" donut charts will be hidden.
  • No Date/time tracking: The "Timeline" and "Time of Day" heatmaps will be hidden.

Viewing Active Settings

To view the privacy profile of an active campaign, go to its analytics page and select "Information" from the options dropdown menu in the header. A modal will display your fixed settings for that campaign.
